Doug Collins graduated from Western Michigan University, where he majored in Accountancy. He has over 20 years of experience in public accounting and controllership in the insurance industry, including extensive knowledge of NAIC statutory accounting, U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and internal controls over financial reporting. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA, inactive).
Doug began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, (PwC) and has since served in various corporate accounting roles at Fidelity Life Association, Dearborn National, and American Physicians Capital, Inc. Prior to becoming Chief Financial Officer of Olympus Insurance Company, Doug served for three years as the company’s Controller. In his free time Doug enjoys cooking and reading.
