Courtney A. Siders, Esq. serves as General Counsel and head of compliance for Gemini Financial Holdings Corporation and its subsidiaries, including but not limited to, Olympus Insurance Company, a Florida domesticated property and casualty insurance company; Radiant, a Bermuda based Reinsurer and Technology Enhanced Claims Handling (“TECH”), a claims handling and adjusting company.
Ms. Siders earned her business degree from the University of Iowa, and her Juris Doctorate law degree from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. She began her legal career as a Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney in Chicago, prosecuting a broad range of felony criminal cases from sex crimes to homicides. Her experience in the field of law now includes almost twenty years of criminal and civil trial litigation, SEC and intercompany compliance and transactional and contractual corporate law, including a wide range of insurance experience; including, but not limited to, property subrogation and first and third party insurance defense matters such as residential and commercial fire losses, construction defects, product defects, sinkhole losses, premises liability and water damage claims.
Prior to joining Olympus, Ms. Siders was a partner at the Florida-based law firm of Powers McNalis, wherein she managed, implemented, and built the subrogation department for the firm. She managed a team of associates and handled large loss property subrogation matters along with residential and commercial first- and third-party insurance defense cases. As General Counsel, Ms. Siders is now responsible for overseeing all of the legal affairs, compliance, litigation, and corporate legal matters for Olympus Insurance and all of the company’s affiliates. She is also in charge of oversight for the subrogation department for T.E.C.H. and Olympus Insurance, including responsibility for team management and all in-house litigation.
