Olympus Policyholders: Plan ahead for reporting a post-hurricane claim

We hope you and your loved ones remain safe during Hurricane Dorian.

During recovery from a storm, our goal is to process all claims as quickly as possible and restore homes – and lives – to normal.

As we count the hours before Hurricane Dorian gets to Florida, now is a good time to think about how to make the claim process go as smoothly as possible.

Compile an inventory list, take photos and video of the interior and exterior of your home and possessions, and send them to the cloud for easy retrieval later. One of the easiest ways is to walk through your home and record video with your smartphone while narrating what’s being recorded.

If your property sustains minor or limited property damage from the storm, your claim may qualify for Fast Track virtual adjustment, which consolidates and streamlines the claims process. Once it’s safe, take photos and video of the damage to document your loss, and contact Olympus immediately. If your claim qualifies, your adjuster will walk you through the Fast Track process by phone. In many cases, we can even issue you an immediate payment for your covered loss. If you find more damage later, we can send a field adjuster out at that time to document it.
