The business began as a purchased agency in the mid-1990s and was a nonstandard auto and mobile home agency known as John Drew Insurance. With many challenges over the years, this small agency grew into a standard market agency that now predominantly writes personal lines business. Educating their clients on coverage choices and differences is St.Andrews primary goal.
While making sure clients are happy, St. Andrews’ agency principal, John Thompson explained, the most important coverages to his clients are wind/hurricane, water, and liability. The agency enjoys working with Olympus because they know, Olympus offers the broadest coverage in the marketplace with competitive pricing.
When this agency is not servicing their customers with excellent service, they participate in local charities such as CPAR/Realtor group for the Roy Creciulus fund, Toys for Kids, and numerous other family related events. St. Andrews takes a family first approach. “Do what you say and never promise anything you can’t deliver” says Mr. Thompson. Their method is if you tell a client, you are going do something, follow it through until completion.
St. Andrews enjoys available markets, coverage choices and good quality market condition. Restricted markets benefit no one and further the negative public opinion of our industry. John believes that catastrophe events like Hurricane Michael have helped his agency in some ways, teaching his team to do a better job of explaining coverages upfront and with more detail every time.
The greatest joys for the agency are being contacted by a stranger who was referred to them by their current clients and making them part of the St. Andrews Insurance family and helping people feel secure when insuring one of their largest assets they will ever own, their home.
